Hasn't this been £14 -£15 all the time for the past few months ? So not a deal by a long way 😒! And this poster appears to have posted all previous deals at those prices (so should know better ? ) ! I know we have inflation 🙄 , but 30% on chocs over a month is taking the Mick ! Gives Latest Deals and this poster a bad name ?

Here's the Amazon price history.

As you can see, your "£14 -£15 all the time for the past few months" assertion is wrong.

The price of confectionery usually drops and becomes cheapest on Amazon when the best before date of the existing stock is fast approaching.

When I looked online earlier today £20.69 including free delivery (and in stock) was one of the best deals for this product I could find. So, in my view, very much still a deal.

But if you can find it in stock and significantly cheaper elsewhere at a mainstream retailer please help the LD community by posting a link to the deal here.

Please also state what the total price is, including VAT and delivery, for comparison with this deal.

Thanks.

Johnny You have posted this deal 3 times (previously) in the last 2 months at £13 or £14 - am I correct ? Possibly just a deal . Unless chocolate inflation has skyrocketed I cannot see how this can be considered a deal .

I'm sure that folks with far too much time on their hands 🤔could do the sums and point out that (per kg) 9 or 10 cartons from the Supermarket work out cheaper ?

Just pointing out the obvious - if it's a deal at £13.97 ( as you posted 3 times ) , it cannot be a deal a month or two later at £20.69 ? Inflation is rife , but not that rife surely ?

Shall we have a side bet that this "deal " will be below £15 yet again in the next week or two ? Rather like Walkers crisps , the price goes up and down regularly and in my view should only be posted as a deal when near it's recent lowest price .

Many of our members are not so price savvy as you and me and should not in my opinion be misled into overpaying - perhaps we disagree on that ?

Golfforall can you find it significantly cheaper? I suggest you try that first. I doubt that you can.

Don't forget a half price deal can still be an excellent deal at 25% off the following day.

Have you found a better deal for this 2kg box yet? (i.e. significantly cheaper, in stock, and delivered).

I am assuming not, as you haven’t posted a link.

I think it's fair to say that for most shoppers on Latest Deals, expired deals of yesterday and unknown deals of tomorrow are far less relevant than Today's Latest (Best) Deal.

Looks to me like this is still one of the best deals around for 2kg at the moment!

I presume we still have that side bet ? Say 1 Heroes chocolate ? - that the non deal you posted @ £20.69 will be below £16 within a fortnight ? And I would also be pretty sure you will post such deal and will quietly expire this one without apology to those LD members who may have been daft enough to actually purchase @£20.69 on your recommendation ?

I left it after my initial comments , you seem intent on defending the indefensible ? Perhaps "When in a hole stop digging" would be advice you should understand ? It's only an overpriced carton of chocolates after all 😮.

You appear to be clutching at straws.

1) I have shown that your initial comment "Hasn't this been £14 -£15 all the time for the past few months?" was wrong.

2) Your comment "I'm sure that folks with far too much time on their hands could do the sums and point out that (per kg) 9 or 10 cartons from the Supermarket work out cheaper ?" is also wrong. It isn't cheaper. I suggest you do the maths yourself and add the delivery fee. If you genuinely think it is cheaper at the supermarket, please prove it.

3) I have challenged you to find and add a link to a better deal. You have failed to do so.

Your assertion that this is a "non-deal", when at £20.69 (or even less with S&S) the Amazon deal price represents a 26% discount to the RRP, is quite frankly, ridiculous.

Unless and until you can find a better deal, kindly acknowledge that this is the best deal available right now. Very clearly lots of people already have.

Don't forget this is Latest Deals. Not Yesterday's Deals. And Not Tomorrow's Deals😂

EDIT 16th May: Added:

Golfforall

I see you have changed the details of your proposed side bet in your own favour, increasing both the price and the duration.

FROM:

Shall we have a side bet that this "deal " will be below £15 yet again in the next week or two ?

TO:

...below £16 within a fortnight (i.e. by Saturday 21st May).

Ho hum.

As to “I presume we still have that side bet ? Say 1 Heroes chocolate ?”

Yes, provided you mean one Heroes 2kg box, like this deal, and not a measly single chocolate!

You have just lost your bet that my £20.69 deal would be below £16 within a fortnight from 7th May.

As you can see the price hasn't changed at all, remaining steady at £20.69 throughout.

I look forward to receiving my winnings!😊

Fair do's . I had quite forgotten about that , but I would never renege on a bet 🙂. probably an illustration of our inflationary times that the price of a box of Heroes has not dipped down to £14 or less in the last couple of weeks (as it has every week or two over the last few years ).

Anyway I will send your chocolate (no sweat, one sweet out of a box I bought for £13 ish a month or so ago ) .

I will send it to you care of Latest Deals Towers , enjoy 😀. Just hope the Latest Deals admin team is better at forwarding a chocolate than they are at answering "Contact " questions 🤔.

Johnny I think you will find I didn't reply to that one or confirm it - the side bet was a nominal heroes chocolate which you have won 😃. Hope you receive it more quickly than I receive replies from Latest Deals "contact" questions 🙄.
