Boo baskets, like Christmas Eve boxes, are a commercial con to encourage more spending. The entitled believe they shoud receive these gifts, putting undue pressure on others. Like gender reveals, momentum builds so the amount spent increases. I loathe it all.
Well that told all us didn’t it! I for one love all this kind of stuff! Yes, people like to ‘out do’ each other… but why let it get you so angry…. Leave them to it! And as for these baskets…. They can be filled with home made gifts etc that don’t cost an awful lot at all!
How many jars etc do you (hopefully) recycle every week… they can be filled with soil and twigs to make a scene…. So many endless ideas without being such a negative grinch!
