I buy similar jars in plastic with airtight screw on caps from Sam's 99p shops in London for 99p . These glass jars are very heavy and very dangerous around children. Also plastic jars don't break on falling down but these glass jars definitely break down like a bomb with glass sharpnel everywhere. I would not recommend using glass for safety reasons.
lalala27 Yes all my jars are plastic, cheaper and safer . And no fear of breaking if they fall down from a high cabinet.
