Boardman Air 9.0 105 Mens Road Bike - 2019

The Boardman AIR series has a pretty impressive palmares with multiple Olympic medals under its belt. That made it an exciting challenge to develop for the 2019 range – how do you improve one of the world’s best?

Boardman stuck to the same formula which has proved so successful, but have refined the AIR frameset to make it faster and more real-world rider friendly. With a brand new truncated aerofoil down tube and seat tube, developed as part of an extensive Aero R&D process, the 2018 AIR offers an even faster ride – whichever way the wind is blowing. The 2019 AIR frame, combined with the new T10 aero fork which takes a standard external brake, delivers premium performance with everyday usability.

Aerodynamic performance isn’t much use if the frame doesn’t transfer power to the road efficiently too, but with an oversized PF30 bottom bracket shell and new, tapered box-section chainstays, the AIR frameset makes sure every possible watt makes it to the rear wheel.

Delivering cutting edge aerodynamic performance, the Boardman AIR 9.0 105 Men's Road Bike uses the same high modulus C10 Carbon AIR frame and fork as the flagship AIR 9.8. With Olympic gold medal winning DNA, refined through extensive aerodynamic R&D, and Vision’s Team Comp 35 clincher wheelset, high speed riding is definitely the Air 9.0’s forte.

Shimano’s precise and efficient 105 groupset takes care of shifting and braking so going up and down hill will be just as much fun as powering along the flat roads. The Air Elite Carbon seat post has 4 different mounting positions, allowing the effective seat tube angle to be adjusted between 73 and 75°, making the bike suitable for mixed Road, Time Trial and Triathlon duties.
