Yes its good for soft veg but it will break if you try and use it on hard tatties etc
These plastic ones are rubbish - too much pressure and the thing goes belly up - you need to boil the potatoes before you use this one to be sure it wont get broken.
Get the proper steel one it works with the hardest of tatties!
