Windows 10 S is a pretty crappy version, it means you can only get programs from the Windows Store.
Plus, with only 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage don't expect to use it for heavy programs, but it's fine for basic/lightweight.
Windows 10 LTSC 1809 (2019) is my fave as it's the last true traditional version of Windows without junk preinstalled, and supported until 2029.
PhilipMarc Its says you can upgrade to windows 10 for free. I guess they are old stock and you just have to go on internet.
allyd Upgrade from S to Home/Pro? Sure, but with 64GB you'll eventually run out due to the constant updates.
Windows 10 wasn't made to be used with 32GB/64GB. At least 128GB.
PhilipMarc it’s a notebook. Considering it’s Celeron you wouldn’t use it for anything other than basic browsing. 32gb is fine for browsing and streaming, and has room for windows updates even on Win10. This is definitely fine (64gb) as long as people don’t buy it thinking it’s a replacement for a normal laptop.
PhilipMarc can be upgraded from S to Home pretty easily though I think from what others have said. Might not keep up with heavy use but like you said great for a first laptop or for light use!
kanedaku my parents have one with 32GB of storage and what they're left with? Just a little over 8GBs free.
These 32GB/64GB Windows 10 devices might look cheap, but will end up costing more if the user wants or needs more space.
PhilipMarc just a tip, delete the previous installation, the copy that’s held on the device in case you want to roll back. On a netbook there shouldn’t be any reason for Windows 10 to be over say 10gb
PhilipMarc but yeh, as long as people know what they’re buying, it does the job. The problem here is if it’s not advertised properly, that it is a notebook for browsing, streaming, and basics like office apps.
This is a decent price. Will have to have a good look at the spec but seems a good price. Nice find op
