I'd say the lack of smart features is probably a good thing here. My old Finlux 3D TV is smart but the apps haven't been updated for years so all that functionality isn't used as it just brings up an error. Either go for a non-smart TV like this or something with Android where you can update and change apps more easily. A lot of budget smart TVs will probably find the apps stop working in a year or so.
