Available from Virgin Media
£6
Comment41

Latest Deals has worked with Virgin Mobile to bring you this amazing deal!

You can get a great SIM Only deal on Virgin Mobile, which will cost you just £6 per month! You'll get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 5GB of data!

It's a 30 day contract so you're not tied in for years, if you don't want to continue after the first month you can cancel. You'll get 5GB of data, unlimited minutes, texts and the network is faster on average than O2, Vodaphone, Sky and Three. Plus if you're already a Virgin Media TV or broadband customer, you'll also get free unlimited calls to other Virgin Mobile phones.

amaarsyed It's a bit confusing. Virgin mobile actually started moved from EE in 2021. They then moved to Vodafone and signed a 5 year deal with them. Later in 2021, they announced that they would be cancelling the Vodafone deal and moving to O2 at some point in the future, but didn't say when. My guess is that you're possibly still on Vodafone. If you have the Ookla network speed test app and run a speed test (making sure you're not connected to WiFi), it should tell you which network you're on - Vodafone or O2.

AdamRutland you don't realise Virgin Media in partnership with O2 so doesn't matter if you're with Virgin Mobile with O2 it's still the same because I asked so to this doesn't matter if you're on Virgin Media mobile everyone's moving out on to O2 network eventually

iamahappyperson they're not anymore they ended the partnership so they moved with O2 that thinks the 1st of June 2021

CallumFlowers errr... I do realise that, which is why I mentioned about O2 being fast in my area!

Although I don't believe the Vodafone contract has ended yet despite notice having been given, so people are not yet being put on O2 (but obviously will be when the Vodafone contract expires).

AdamRutland I know they used to be with Vodafone but they are in trouble with BT at the moment cos they ended their partnership with Vodafone has signed a five-year deal with them and now the Terminator it to go to O2 I don't know why they done that and now BT are taking them to court

CallumFlowers I can't see anything online to confirm that the Vodafone contract is now terminated and that customers are now on O2 - do you have a link to prove otherwise?

AdamRutland that's speak to an O2 colleague if you don't believe me that's from the O2 colleague there are actually moving everyone from Vodafone to O2 with a Virgin network of course is don't believe me

CallumFlowers would like to see some actual proof to confirm this, it is possible your friend is talking about it happening in the future.

The below is pasted from Virgin Media's Business website FAQs...

'Are all mobile services from Virgin Media now delivered on the O2 network?

No. If you’re an existing Mobile customer with Virgin Media, your mobile service will continue to be delivered by Virgin Media using the EE or Vodafone network. You may be able to transfer to an O2 service in the future.'

AdamRutland no I'm just saying there's a lot of confusion with Virgin ending Vodafone Partnership to go to O2 can you see where I get the point now

CallumFlowers not really because I already knew this, hence why I mentioned about not confirming if the actual Vodafone contract had been terminated yet (despite VM having given notice to Vodafone).

I don't really know why you tagged me in the first place or think that I'm with VM or Vodafone, but I think we've wasted enough time on this now!

Better deal with Lebara, 12GB data, unlimited texts and minutes, 5G, 30 day SIM only deal, £6.90, but REDUCED TO 1p per month for the first 6 months. All my family have swapped and ported old number,(extra 5GB data for 1st month when you port), but you can stick with the new Lebara number, your choice.

Scoured the WWW and couldn't find anything better.

Can anyone advise me of the link to the latest mobile offer I recently saw, unfortunately I deleted the email which had the direct link to the offer.

The offer was 25GB of data, with unused data rollover, unlimited texts and minutes, EU roaming. Number porting allowed. A 1 month rolling contract for £4.75 per month.

This is better than the Lebara package I signed up to 1 year ago, which was 1p per month for 6 months and then £6.90, however, due to a cock-up at their end they extended my 1p per month for another 6 months, via an advanced discount direct to my bank. A shame it's now ran out, so looking to change.
