Thousands of Households To Receive £300 Direct Payment - Are You Eligible?
- Thousands of UK households to receive £300 in direct payments.
- Funded by the government’s Household Support Fund.
- Payment eligibility varies by council and household criteria.
Thousands of households in the UK are set to receive a £300 direct payment to their bank accounts in the coming days, courtesy of the government’s Household Support Fund. This initiative aims to assist Brits with the rising cost of living.
The fund is distributed through local councils, with each authority receiving a portion of the funding based on factors like population size and the number of vulnerable households. For instance, Walsall Council residents could receive up to £300 depending on the number of dependent children in the household.
Eligible households include those in receipt of council tax reductions with dependent children. These families will receive a one-off direct payment of £75 per child at the end of July 2024. If you meet the criteria, the payment will be made automatically to your bank account.
Additionally, other councils across the country are offering similar support, with variations in the amount and eligibility criteria. For example, Blackpool residents can receive up to £300, while those in Bracknell Forest could be eligible for a £315 cash grant.
