Aldi has announced an exciting addition to their Easter chocolate lineup, featuring a Belgian chocolate office bunny, which bears a striking resemblance to the beloved, but recently discontinued, Caramac bar. After a 65-year run, the caramel-based Caramac bar was taken off the shelves in November, citing low sales. This left many fans disheartened, but Aldi's new offering appears to provide a much-needed alternative.

The Aldi website lists this new confection at a mere £2.99, a price point that aligns with Aldi's reputation as the cheapest supermarket in the UK for 2023. However, questions remain about the future of this treat post-Easter, as it currently serves as one of the few ways for Caramac enthusiasts to satisfy their cravings.

Charlotte Colombo at Metro reported that Nestlé, the manufacturer of Caramac, confirmed the discontinuation of the iconic bar last November, a decision described as 'difficult'. In response, Caramac fan Gary Millar, a former Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor of Liverpool, initiated a petition to bring the chocolate back, which has garnered over 30,000 signatures. Meanwhile, Aldi’s Easter section also boasts other chocolate alternatives, such as mini egg mix-ups and Poppin's choc, echoing popular brands at more affordable prices.
