Aldi Seeks Heartwarming Nominations for Employee Recognition
- Aldi encourages customers to nominate exceptional staff
- Shoppers can share stories of kindness experienced in stores
- Top nominees to win a relaxing spa break for two
With World Kindness Day on the horizon, Aldi is prompting shoppers to highlight compassionate acts by its staff members. Whether it's helpfulness or a simple friendly exchange, Aldi wants to hear about employees who've made a difference. Nominees with the most submissions will be rewarded with a spa getaway for two. Shoppers are urged to email the employee’s name, the store location, and a brief explanation of their kindness to a dedicated email by December 11, 2024.
Richard Thornton, Aldi's Communications Director, expressed, "At Aldi we know the impact that small gestures can have, especially in today’s fast-paced world. This initiative is a heartfelt reminder of the essential role our colleagues play in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our customers."
Aldi has also reinforced its commitment to employee welfare with a pay increase, marking a £79m investment this year. Store assistants now receive £12.40 nationally, rising to £13.65 within the M25, with paid breaks adding significant value.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "It's always refreshing to see companies not only acknowledging their employees' efforts but rewarding them in such a meaningful way.
