Amazon Warehouse Rebrands as Amazon Resale
Amazon Warehouse has rebranded to Amazon Resale. The premise of Amazon Resale remains the same: to sell tested second-hand, refurbished, or returned goods, possibly with damaged packaging or light cosmetic wear.
The rebrand completes a move that seems to have begun in the US about 3 months ago.
Ahead of Black Friday and Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, the rebrand in the UK might confuse some shoppers who look for Amazon Wareshouse.
Normally during Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, you'll see 20% off Amazon Warehouse. Now we should expect to see 20% off Amazon Resale.
I think the new name makes more sense as to what it actually means. After all, they are "reselling" items. Amazon Warehouse was a bit more vague if you weren't already aware.
What is Amazon Resale?
Here is Amazon's description to what it is:
Amazon Resale (previously known as Amazon Warehouse) offers great deals on quality used, returned, pre-owned, or open-box products. With all the benefits of Amazon fulfillment , customer service and return rights, we provide discounts on returned items for customer favourites such as: smartphones, laptops, tablets, home & kitchen appliances and thousands more. For each returned product we sell, we thoroughly test the condition of the item and provide detailed descriptions to make it easier for you to make a decision.
I have had some good bargain from Amazon warehouse over the last few years.... Most things I have bought have been simple returns in perfect condition, but at a huge discount.... Let's hope the name change is simply that....x
Lolly1967 I hope it is the same, I've had a few things but I've never went for high-end stuff as I wasn't so sure they would be up to scratch as the brand new ones, but hopefully the new rebrand will make people less hesitant.
I love to shop on Amazon always have very good deals. Hope that is still the case. Thank you for sharing.
I recently bought a bicycle cassette described as 11-52T and as new. What came was a 11-42T cassette that had clearly been used. I sent it back but the refund kept getting delayed until I had to contact customer services and they realised it had been almost the 2 weeks so refunded. It's annoying not to get the item you ordered and then be faced with returning something that clearly they didn't check and then wait a long time for a refund. I feel like the previous customer had returned a different product and they hadn't spotted it and they sent that to me. Amazon can be really annoying sometimes.
However most of what I get from the Warehouse/Resale has been good but it can be a bit farcical at times.
