Valentine's Day is around the corner, and Sainsbury's is offering a special treat for couples with its £15 dine-in meal deal. The deal, available from 7th to 14th February, includes a starter, main course, side dish, dessert, and a drink, all from the supermarket's premium Taste the Difference range. This year's Valentine's menu features a diverse selection, catering to various tastes, including vegan options.

Couples can select from seven starters, such as scallop gratin, leek and cheddar tart, and fragrant vegetable bao buns. The main course offers nine choices, including a Taste the Difference rump steak with butter, Scottish salmon en croute, and a vegan plant-based Wellington. Side dishes range from dauphinoise potatoes to cauliflower cheese, while dessert options include white chocolate mousse, rose and rhubarb and custard cheesecake slices. The meal deal also features a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including Taste the Difference prosecco and Stella Artois.

A comparison of the individual item prices reveals significant savings with this deal. Purchasing items such as the leek and cheddar tart, rump steak, dauphinoise potatoes, cheesecake slices, and prosecco separately would cost around £27.10, making the Valentine's meal deal almost half the price. Lyndsey Young at The Sun highlighted the value of this offer, encouraging shoppers to explore this budget-friendly romantic dinner option.

Always worth a look to see who has the nicest combo. Only problem with us is he eats meat and I don't. Usually solved by 1 of the sides being my main so he can have steak or duck. Cats like the 2nd steak or duck too. Just cook tomatoes and mushrooms extra for him.
