Whether you shop online or pop into your local store, both avenues will give you the bonus as long as you flash that Nectar card. From fresh apples to tinned peas and frozen berries, it all counts towards the challenge. The initiative will span from August 23 to October 10. To give a bit of context, last year’s challenge led to a whopping 88 million portions of fruit and veg being snapped up!
Usually, for every £1 you drop at Sainsbury’s or every litre of fuel you buy, you receive a single Nectar point. These points can not only get you discounts at Sainsbury's but can also be used at partners like Argos, ASOS, and Sky. Every point you earn is 0.5p off at Sainsbury’s - so, gather 100 points and you shave off 50p on your bill. Looking for a pick-me-up? Exchange 350 points (worth £1.75) at Caffè Nero for a drink, hot or cold.
