Deal Expert Shares Top Toy Deals To Buy This Christmas
Tom Church, Co-founder of money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk and dad of one boy aged three, shares his top budget toy picks this Christmas.
He says, “You don’t need to spend a fortune to give your kids a great Christmas. At this time of year, there are plenty of deals to be found, and if you’re a savvy shopper you can bag a bargain.
“For baby toys, I’d recommend looking at Argos. Their multibuy offers are great and cater to a range of budgets. You can go for the 3 for £20 deal and choose from Chad Valley bath toys, wooden toys, Fisher-Price toys and more.
“You can also save ⅓ on selected baby and pre-school toys, including the Bluey Puppet Theatre, reduced from £30 to £20. Don’t forget, Argos also has free click & collect where available”.
Tom goes on to share his picks for slightly older children, saying, “If you’re shopping for toddlers, I think educational, creative and active toys are a great way to go, and I’ve found a well priced toy for each of these categories.
“If you want to opt for something educational, matching games are always a winner. For something under £10, I recommend the Orchard Toys Match and Spell Game. It’s currently just £7 at Amazon or Argos.
“For the creative gift, you can’t go wrong with Play-Doh. The 8-Pack Rainbow Modelling Set is currently on offer for just £5 at Amazon.
“And for something active, walking toys are a great way of getting kids up and moving. I found the John Lewis Wooden Chick Push Along Toy, made from FSC-Certified Wood reduced from £16 to £12.80, a great price for a wooden toy”.
If you’re shopping for older kids, Tom continued, “For children under five, the Zuru Pets Alive Hamstermania toys are a great option. Even full price they’re under £10, and B&M currently has them on offer for £5.99 in store.
“If you’re looking for more craft and activity type toys, it’s worth a trip to Aldi. As part of their Special Buys on 21st November, you can find festive craft sets from as little as £1.99. It includes sticker sets, paint your own decorations and more".
Tom finished by adding, "If you're shopping on a budget this Christmas, my final tip would be to download the Latest Deals app. You can filter by category and price, so if for example, you want to see toys under £5, just set your filters and see that day's top deals".
