British Gas is offering its customers an exciting opportunity to cut their electricity bills in half during a special PeakSave Green Flex event tomorrow. The event will run from 11 am to 1 pm, allowing thousands of households to benefit from lower energy costs by shifting their energy usage to this two-hour window.
In a bid to reduce energy consumption during peak times, British Gas forecasts events like these to offer savings while lessening the load on the grid. During the event, customers with a smart meter will be able to enjoy the reduced rates automatically, and the savings will appear as "PeakSave Credit" on their next bill or online statement.
This initiative is part of the broader PeakSave scheme, which rewards better energy management. New customers can sign up for the scheme by visiting the British Gas website and providing basic details. As reported by Sophie Warburton, British Gas has paid out over £11 million to 600,000 customers since the launch of PeakSave, while saving 326 tonnes of carbon emissions.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, said: "It’s a great opportunity for households to manage their energy use more effectively and make some real savings on their bills. The scheme’s flexibility means that you don’t need to drastically change your routine, making it accessible to all."
