- Available from July 7 at Sainsbury’s, followed by other major supermarkets
- Fans express excitement, with many planning to stock up
McVitie's has thrilled biscuit lovers with the announcement of its latest creation, the Gold Digestives. This new treat combines the nostalgic 80s Gold bar's caramel flavour with the beloved Digestive biscuit, promising a delightful snacking experience. The limited-edition Gold Digestives will first hit the shelves at Sainsbury’s on July 7, followed by Tesco, Waitrose, Co-Op, Asda, Morrisons, and other retailers shortly after.
The Gold Digestives are expected to be a hit among fans, offering “an indulgent little pick-me-up that will make you feel like you’ve hit the jackpot with every bite,” according to McVitie's. This new addition joins a family of flavours, including Milk, Dark, and White Chocolate Digestives.
Aslı Ozen Turhan, Chief Marketing Officer at pladis UK&I, commented, “We’re always listening out for what new snacks our loyal fanbase are requesting, and this is one request we couldn’t resist fulfilling. Gold Digestives are certainly one of our most eagerly awaited launches of the year, one which brings together two of our most popular brands to create a truly unique addition to the McVitie’s family.”
McVitie’s Gold Chocolate Digestives will be available for £1.98 per pack of 15 biscuits. Shoppers have already taken to social media to share their excitement, with one fan exclaiming, “No way! I am buying like 10 packs of these.”
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, added, "McVitie's Gold Digestives are set to be a summer sensation. The blend of nostalgic flavours with a classic favourite is sure to delight biscuit fans everywhere."
I can't wait to get my hands on this when Asda or Tesco stocks it. The picture looks mouthwatering. Hopefully it will be worth the £1.98.
These look delicious. I have recently been buying the Gold bars as farmfoods have started stocking them for £1. Will have to see if these match up.
Going to have to stock up on these for when family call (mainly my oldest daughter), always have to stock up on gold bars cos they seem to be always short of stock
