Taylor Swift Lookalikes Cause Stir at Aldi

  • Aldi's marketing director comments on the enjoyable event

Shoppers at an Aldi branch in Manchester were taken by surprise when they saw numerous Taylor Swift lookalikes operating the checkout counters.

This spectacle happened as the city was buzzing with excitement over the MTV EMAs. Each Taylor double was dressed to embody different phases of the pop star's career, leaving customers doing a double-take.

One TikTok user humorously remarked about seeing "twelve Taylor Swift lookalikes in Aldi," questioning if it was an intentional hint or "Easter Egg."

Jemma Townsend, Aldi UK's Marketing Director, noted, "Our new recruits worked a swift shift, keeping the checkout queues moving faster than Taylor Swift’s ticket sales." This isn't Aldi's first brush with celebrities, as a Kate Moss doppelgänger also turned heads last year in the same city.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, added, "It's always fascinating to see how brands use creative stunts to engage with the public and generate buzz."
