Tesco Clubcard Offering Double Points For First Time In A Decade
Attention, deal hunters! Tesco is turning the tables on savings with a massive double Clubcard points event. For the first time in a decade, you can earn double points on every shop - in-store, online, at petrol stations, or even in Tesco cafés, for the next seven weeks until 25th February. Think of it: every pound you spend earns you double the reward, doubling your saving potential!
This isn't just small change; Tesco is expecting to hand out a whopping 10 billion Clubcard points during this event, benefiting over 20 million members. Imagine the savings on your groceries, fuel, and more! This is a golden opportunity to stretch your budget further during these tough times.
You can collect your bonus in your next two Clubcard statements – either in February or May – or redeem them on the spot with the faster vouchers service via Tesco's Grocery and Clubcard app or online. It's convenience and savings, all rolled into one.
Tesco's chief commercial officer, Ashwin Prasad, highlights this event as a thank-you gesture to loyal Clubcard members, offering an additional boost during the financially tight month of January. Whether you're saving up for a special holiday or just chopping down your weekly shopping bill, this event is a win-win.
As Eloise Hill at Retail Gazette reported, Tesco also partnered with Evri last November, allowing shoppers to earn Clubcard points with every parcel sent through the delivery firm. It’s clear Tesco is upping its game in the loyalty scheme market.
In the words of Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, "Tesco's double Clubcard points event is a smart move in the current economy, offering tangible benefits to consumers and strengthening brand loyalty – a win-win for both the retailer and shoppers."
Don't miss this chance to double your savings and rewards. Happy shopping!
Sounds like a good deal as Asda are giving nothing at the moment ( £50 spend to earn 50p ) unbelievable.
JohnLamont that’s 1% when you consider their dry grocery margin is between 1-3% it’s not nothing.
The CMA points out that operating profits in the retail grocery sector during 2022-23 were down 41.5% on the previous year and that average operating margins in the sector fell from 3.2% to 1.8%. Put another way, for every £100 of sales, the typical supermarket is making a profit of just £1.80.
This is a great deal if one does their shopping at Tesco most of the time or all the time. However, where possible I like to shop around. The last time I was there some of their items such as laundry products were more than Sainsbury's.
