Wetherspoons Launches Massive January Discount on Food & Drink

Image

Wetherspoons has just announced a January sale that's set to make your wallet and your taste buds very happy. Starting today, the beloved pub chain is offering steep discounts on both food and drink at more than 800 locations.

In England and Wales, this sale runs from January 2nd to the 17th, 2024. Scottish pubs will join in on the fun a day later, from January 3rd. The discounts will vary across different pubs, but here's a sneak peek: a pint of Bud Light or Doom Bar for just £1.99, and classic cocktails at a mere £2.99.

But it's not just drinks that are getting the discount treatment. Food items are also part of this January bonanza. You can grab a small breakfast – egg, bacon, sausage, beans, and toast – for only £1.99. They're available from £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.46 with an alcoholic beverage. And let's not forget about the small plates, like halloumi-style fries and nachos, with any three for £12.

Lyndsey Young at "Money - Latest Business, Retail & Proper..." reported on this exciting news earlier today, and social media is already buzzing with anticipation. Customers are tagging friends and planning their visits, with comments like "Can't wait to go to Spoons for my birthday," and "Best news this year."

For those who might miss out on this January sale or prefer different deals, Wetherspoons has got you covered all year round. From the Autumn festival to the Spring Real Ale Festival, and the annual Tax Equality Day in September, there are always ways to save. Not to forget their weekly meal deals like Tuesday’s Steak Club and the Thursday Curry Club.

To find your nearest participating pub, simply use the chain’s handy pub searching tool on its website.

I made a vow never to step foot in 1 after the owners treatment to his workforce during the pandemic .I think the owner is odious and has the politeness of a skunk .

That's a bit unnecessary. I only asked you what treatment. I have to assume that you are alluding to the rumours that Tim Martin laid off his workers then. I work in the trade Stuart and deal with Wetherspoons and know many of their staff. If you speak to them then they will tell you that they were paid by furlough and he encouraged them to seek other employment whilst hospitality employers such as Wetherspoons had to close. He welcomed them all back as soon as he was able to. It's popular for people to label Tim Martin as a folk devil and usually people with a political beef against him. Please get your facts right Stuart and have a chat with a Wetherspoons employee perhaps?

mikewardmiw01 So my cousin didn't get told by her manager at a Wetherspoons that he would be advised to sort alternative work while the pubs were closed for the pandemic . All I do know is the guy treats his workers #S##T and he is now closing pubs because people avoid working for him and they are always understaffed .

Binny61 My cousin was told to find alternative work during the pandemic and also the workforce are treated appallingly compared to other places .I feel sorry for the people who do work there and I am always happy to visit other pubs as I always believe that if the staff are happy in there work then you will always get a nice visit to the establishment and even before the pandemic the staff never looked happy in there work .

stuartsmith544 I can only reflect you what many have told me. I do know that some staff groups in Spoons are happier in some pubs than others. A lot depends on a good manager. I think the service would improve if he gave bonuses for quicker service though! ( Pints make pounds). Mixed feelings on some things with them.... brilliant business model . Provides a place for people to socialise, keep warm and have cheap food & drink...kind of modern day soup kitchen if you like. Not everyone can afford to buy their ales at £4 or £5 + a pint. He's rescued so many lovely old buildings too. As for putting other pubs out of business well they need to adapt to make it work alongside them and not try to please everybody and concentrate on the simple things. I know breweries who supply them .... They drive hard bargains but Spoons do pay promptly. The beer? Often a served a bit on the cold side for my liking. Anyway...each to their own.

Binny61 Excellently put . My wife has worked at the pub she works at and her manager is 1 of the best she has had working there but the manager before her was as much use as a chocolate tea cup . I can tell your an expert of public houses and you really do put across a good point of view which is 1 of the reasons why I love the chat section on here .Happy new year to you and hope you have a good 2024 .

stuartsmith544 Mr Martin offers excellent food and drink; that’s why Wetherspoons is successful.
