Amazon Workers on Strike
Other
Amazon workers are striking for 3 days this week over wages. Amazon reckon it eont effect deliveries but it probably won't
Amazon delivery's are not good.anyway, I have been waiting since the 4th of November for delivery is saying it is coming today, 7th November, and they say next day delivery with Prime
I've not heard about this, Amazon has gone down hill in my opinion compared to before COVID, late deliveries ect...
Good for them, the stories I’ve heard about how amazon treat their workers are shocking. It’s like they’ve gone back in time where workers have no rights
I haven't had any issues with Amazon deliveries, some have even arrived before they said it would. Our drivers are always really friendly too. If they need to strike to get what they deserve then strike away.
Lots of delivery driver dump goods on door and run if it wasn't for Alexa notification I could leave them outside not knowing
Imnotcheap my posties and evri drivers do this and blame each other. I have one postie refuse to use my secure drop off
Pfs, thank you. I have been it touch with customer services, and they offered me half of my money back and an apology
As a non-prime member many of my deliveries are a bit rubbish. I seem to get random delays even for items in stock. I had a conversation with someone who knows someone who works in the Amazon UK head office and they are treated really well by Amazon, lots of perks and a great environment however warehouse staff seem to be treated in a rather different way. Reminds me of that film 'Metropolis' with the rich above ground and the workers below ground working long shifts. Basically Amazon treat unskilled labour very badly but skilled labour very well which they wish to retain.
Has anybody else been having this? This is the third time it has happened to me over the last couple of months. Never used to have this problem.
I recently watched 'The Great Amazon Heist' on Channel 4
www.channel4.com/programmes/the-great-amazon-heist
and it shows awful sides of Amazon. I always try and order from the UK and from smaller businesses if I can, especially now they took away Amazon Smile. Even if it takes longer, I'd prefer an independent place or one I can get cashback from, if the prices aren't too different. Sadly most delivery companies seem to be as bad as each other though, with no breaks and only been paid for the amount of parcels but still having to do things in certain ways.
I can't say I've ever had any delivery issues with Amazon though, other than dumping and running. And customer service has always been pretty good.
Fair enough if that's what they need to do. I doubt if it will have a major impact on deliveries.
My amazon order is due tomorrow but it turned up today. No problems where I am. Normal service at the moment.
