Has Anyone Bought Crisps Online?
Ask a Question
Thinking to buy some from Amazon but been thinking won’t they get crushed?
Will be first time buying them as I have enough gift card balance saved
And another issue is I hope they won’t be expired!
Saw someone post a review that the packs of Walkers they got expired last month and were not crispy
If they sell you expired or near to it, they'd clearly state it and sell it at a discount, otherwise you don't have to worry.
There are online stores that sell food that's getting close to expiry date or has gone over it, yet it's still perfectly edible. Think it's called Approved Food and American Fizz (for U.S. candy and whatnot).
I have ordered crisps online before, and everything has been fine. If you do decide to order any and you are not satisfied with them, just complain
I’ve bought crisps twice on Amazon and both times they came crushed, I wouldn’t recommend it. One was like regular packet and one was Pringles, both were all in tiny pieces. If you’re ordering a big box maybe that would be different though.
Often buy crisps online, usually Amazon Prime subscription as they can work out quite a bit cheaper. Never had an issue with damaged packets.
didbygraham yeah they have the save 5% offer too on many items but need time to look at each one lol
Yes I have ordered Crisps before and they were perfectly fine. I ordered a box of Cheetos and a pack of 12 Fish n Chips that came In a bag but was packed In an Amazon Box. If you get any Issues then send them back. Money back guarantee.
Jerseydrew oh is that so that’s good to hear! No idea what to buy need so spend £25 for free delivery!
I have yhe box hasn't been crushed any time I have got them off amazon sometimes they can have a short date though hopefully this helps
Louise2018 thanks for the info
Good to hear you had no problems
Yeah that’s why don’t want to buy online get some that are about to expire!
I purchased a box of 40 packs from Amazon, sell by date only had 2 weeks left, they tasted off, and was refused a return!!!, I wouldn't buy any again
martinlufc5637 omg that’s awful and they should have refunded you!! How much was the box of 40 ? Yeah that’s what I’m afraid of..
I've bought crisps from Amazon to make up an order to £20 (now £25) as I don't have prime and much to my surprise a £1 bag of crisps was sent in its own box on a separate delivery. You wonder how that is economical viable. I would expect a £20 order to all come in the same box for efficiency and costs reasons.
BonzoBanana yeah I spent ages yesterday trying to look at items that are sold and dispatched by them so can use gift card to pay! exactly make it up to £25 so damn free delivery!!
That’s stupid sending one item! Maybe they wanted to deliver it faster to you no idea but yeah best have everything in one box!
kitty88uk They definitely don't like sending faster to me. I get punished because I don't have prime. I've ordered items in stock and they give me delivery dates 6 months away. Here is a current order I'm waiting for. It was ordered in August and its a lottery when I will get it but it was a good price so will wait. I refuse to pay for prime which is another vampire payment that works in the background gradually reducing your wealth for no reason. I don't want to give Jeff Bezo's £7 a month especially when the UK has a trading deficit crisis. Seems completely irresponsible. It's like the Amazon search options. You put in what you want and you get the right products but at the wrong price and if you change it to price order - low to high the screen just fills with rubbish not related to your search much of the time. It's difficult to find good prices on Amazon a lot of the time. Most of my purchases at Amazon are at the Amazon Warehouse.
BonzoBanana that’s crazy!! Omg why so late?! Have you tried asking on live chat customer service? That’s just not right!
I've bought crisps from Amazon several times - all had long expiry dates, crispy and boxed so fortunately not crushed. Refunded once for one 150g pack because it was open as it wasn't factory sealed properly.
Had cases of crisps a few times when on a good offer, they only do good offers when they are short dated normally, half price or lower but they were nice and crisp and not crushed, it's a bit of a lottery being such an enormous business however
Sarahvwomble I see
