Anyone Remember These Walkers crisps Packets?

Ask a Question

Does anyone remember when Walkers apparently gave away random £20 notes in some of their packets of crisps? And has anyone on here actually won? I used to buy loads of Walkers crisps during that time and never won a thing and never knew anyone who has. It was fun though and it would be great if they were to bring this back! 😀

I did find five pound once on the street, someone has obviously dropped it and did not realise, finders keepers.

My partner met me off the bus down our road where our shopping centre is because it was 10.30pm on 20/7/22 As we walked up the hill past the shops I found a folded £10 which we shared as there was no one in sight who could have dropped it..

On a walk in Northern Ireland's Bloody Bridge area,on holiday visiting family I found an Irish £20 a few years ago, there was only daughter, partner, his brother & I, Not one of us had dropped it so I looked on it as a bonus & treated my partner, daughter & myself to a day out in Belfast travelling by train from Portadown the following day!

I vaguely remember this. I really miss the disco flavour bombs and panda pops before they added a load of sweeteners to them. oh, and the pizza pringles and cheesestrings then there are the smokey bacon flavour ones. https://www.dailyfeed.co.uk/2016/09/15-bags-crisps-wish-make-comeback/

Yes i remember them, always so disappointed not to win 😫 just thinking surely that’s really unhygienic though 🤔 and didnt the paper money get all greasy 🤔

I have always wondered that. But perhaps you'd get some code printed on the inside of the packet informing you that you had won, along with a website or phone number to claim your £20. That makes more sense. x

Yeah, i guess its unhygienic, so i guess they'll never bring them back now,due to coronavirus😕

They dont put anything but crisps in the packets nowadays S because of health and safety , incase a child swallows something loose

Hygiene? Yeah, right. The less they can include, the better for them. Bad for us.

Oh yes, crisps have always been a favourite in our house so we never worried about having to buy a few extra to try and win. Image

I won packets of crisps plenty of times but then I at a lot of crisps! My work colleague at the time hardly ever ate crisps - and won £5 (or maybe £10) on her first purchase - annoyed me at the time but it did go on a bottle of wine for the Friday afternoon after the boss went home!

I remember this. My Brother got one with the £20 in, would of been late 90s. But yeah the sheer volume of multipacks he went through was mental. He had cerebral palsy and crisps were one of the few things he'd happily eat without question lol otherwise so that helped 😅
