Anyone Here Shops at Harrods?
Ask a Question
Their prices are absurdly high and there's really no logical reason other than "We're high-end so it costs more here."

Are you kidding me
The only thing I ever bought from Harrods was a chocolate bar and got the carrier bag to show off I’d been there. . Years ago.
PhilipMarc I can’t remember but maybe £1-2. It was one of those long chunky bars with the name on the wrapper. We are talking probably 20-30 years ago or even longer. It’s probably £10 now.
The owners and business attitudes of Harrods changes occassionally and for the last few years the new owners have taken to providing lower quality items and have raised the prices. The sales aren't nearly as good as they used to be. Have looked but not purchased anything for a few years now.
martinlufc5637 not been in years. Going later on this year just to be a tourist. I struggle with tourist things in London as I usually hang out in certain areas and leave tourist areas for tourists.
I have only visited Harrods once and that was over 40 years ago, just purchsed a loaf of bread to get the carrier bag .
Only been in there once on a school trip to London. Don't remember buying anything but it was a long time ago. Even if I was a billionaire I wouldn't shop there as hate to waste money.
I did get offered a job in Harrods years ago but turned it down. I remember I purchased some strawberry tea, it came in a beautiful tin but was about the only thing I could afford back then.
I won It's A Mad, Mad World Competition to promote the Si Fi Channel on Hallam FM , our local radio station along with other winners from other radio stations all over the uk.
I took my partner with me to London & we stayed in the Langham Hilton Hotel on Park Lane..
While we were in London we decided to visit Harrods & put our money in the machine for bus tickets, to get there, no tickets so didn't bother going...
Like others we only wanted a Harrods carrier bag!
Bought a wedding gift once and they shipped internationally for free, so it was not a bad deal
God no. It's expensive but we are going to London later in the year. We are going to wonder round places like harrods just to pretend we are posh for the day. The teen said we won't buy anything it's too expensive
Although Harrods is very expensive, it doesn't mean that this same item is cheaper elsewhere. Their target audience is high-income, and this same item costs that much in other stores too.
I've only been to Harrods once when I was visiting London. I bought my mum a Harrods shopping bag.
I've been inside like many when I've been in London just because, but I've never actually purchased anything. I would hope with the high price tag the quality matches for a backgammon set!!
