Can Bubble Wrap be Used to Keep Rooms Warmer in Winter?
Ask a Question
Has anyone actually tried placing them on windows with spraying water first and placing them on to keep rooms warm from the winter cold temperatures?
I did to the downstairs toilet window. I kept it on for one month. The window sill had condensation. A load of rubbish.
jam45 yeah that’s what I’m afraid of spraying the water and then the condensation will be so annoying! Having to wipe it dry!
It’s annoying when it’s winter season all windows will be full of condensation and if you don’t wipe it there’s puddles on windowsills and will cause mould too
Pjran ,yes we have our dehumidifier on when the windows of the conservatory are misted up,helps a lot, also use our Karcher to clean the windows..
Buy a karcher window vac instead, we use ours for condensation, made a huge difference, bubble wrap would be useless
martinlufc5637 not heard of one of those, what do they do and how much are they? Thanks for answering my questions
kitty88uk it's a window vac to clean windows, sucks water off and brilliant for condensation , easy to use, cost around £30/35
I use mine for the windows and I also use the vac to suck up the water off the tiles and shower door after my shower.
kitty88uk there is a deal on today for a one, Not a karcher though, £19.99 from Screwfix
martinlufc5637 very pricey for a squeegee that can suck water haha good to know about and thanks for sharing this
martinlufc5637 I see thanks I’ve been using a micro fibre cloth to wipe clean the bath tub and walls of condensation and wring all the water out lol it’s a hassle doing this every night after having shower
Never heard of this before I have always used draught excluders which usually means old clothes or towels etc rolled up and put down over draft
Louise2018 I see never heard of that either lol thanks for sharing the information
kitty88uk Years ago, a British Gas engineer - repair or service department, told me not to put anything whatsoever on the radiators, including dry clothing.
