Do You Buy Yourself Christmas Presents?
Ask a Question
I love buying gifts, especially if they are on offer. I have bought all my gifts. But in the last few weeks there have been so many great offers, especially at Boots that I have treated myself, to my husband's annoyance as he said he was planning to buy me that. He leaves everything to the last moment. I have said just wrap them up and give me the £. Am I ruining Christmas ? Also even though its my £ I do lie about the price of things. He would have a fit if he knew how much I spend on scented candles

If the 850g bars of Cadbury's Milk Chocolate are on offer over Black Friday I always buy each of the family one for Christmas.
I quickly realised though that I was the only one without one, so now I get myself one too.
I even wrap it up
blacklabrador I am the only one who really eats chocolate in our house, so I bought Hotel Chocolate when it was on offer for the house aka me, is due to arrive mid Dec so I wasn't tempted This is the first year I have bought gifts for me. I still feel guilty about it
I only bought one. I was buying 3 for 2 gifts in Boots and I only needed 2. I thought well I’ve spent that on them what was the best value item remaining for free as it’s always the cheapest one. So added the value and decided on a make-up bag for £8. I wasn’t going to buy a £4 gift when I could get that value. I didn’t have anything else there in mind for anyone else so thought why not?
My friend buys all her own Christmas presents but her husband has to wrap them and pay her credit card bill.
I will quite often wrap a few presents for myself - "from" our pets who get quite generous this time of year!
didbygraham It's surprising how generous your pets can be. We don't have any, so when I recently treated myself to Jo Malone cologne, I wouldn't haven't it on my Christmas list as it was pricey, but it comes gift wrapped, so it's off Santa
I always buy gifts on sale
I even buy lots of skincare items too haha all on offer and toiletries
Just bought 16 items from Superdrug they have buy one get second half price on body creams, half price hand washes
Got 20% off on all items as they are their own brand plus had £5 in points to spend too so saved a lot of money!
My birthday is just after Christmas. So I always buy myself presents in-between Christmas & my birthday in the sales. I usually have Christmas / birthday money as well. This year I want some dr martens & perfume.
I have purchased myself a cruise to the Caribbean, which covers my birthday and Christmas. Departing next week, can’t wait.
eyeballkerry Hope you have a fabulous time and it be great to get away from this cold weather
It does kind of take the fun away a little bit cause it's nice shopping for gifts for other people. But I always think it's better someone has something they actually want and will use rather than them just getting something that's nice but has no use.
comriegold Funny enough I have just spent £90 at Jo Malone, love their perfume
I never buy myself presents. If I need something then I will buy it but I never buy myself birthday or Christmas presents.
