When Are You Putting Christmas Decorations Up?

Other

When are people planning on thinking if decorations and putting them up?

I need to sort Halloween 🎃 out first. I git some bits that I've painted and got my mincemeat made

I’m just collecting gifts at the moment but will think about some new decorations soon but won’t need much. I never put them up until 12 December. Haven’t given food any thought yet but better soon as it’s my turn to do some hosting this year.

JLouM you've reminded me to put turkey order at my local butchers. I'm veggie but the meat eaters of the family love my local butchers

Jerseydrew Aha! Better to get ahead and be organised or it sells out. Not sure how many use local butchers though so you’ll probably be alright.

They got them up at work at the moment as I work in hospitality and I doubt I will put mine up as fed up with the sight of them at work yet alone at my place when it’s actually time.

Mine will go up a couple of weeks before Christmas, I don't go overboard, just the tree and a few bits around.

Mine will go up early December, my kids are still young so the count down to Christmas is still very exciting.

I like to do as many home made decorations as possible, lick and stick paper chains, wreaths and table decs with foraged foliage, instead of mistletoe make little bunches to hang using foraged ivy, rosemary or lavenda if u have it and dry out some orange and lemon slices, instead of snow spray on the windows(very messy to clean off), I use white board pens. I also only put up half my tree- the front half,so that it sits flat against my lounge wall, takes up less space. It all goes up 12 days before and down 12 days after, as per tradition

Whenever I can be bothered! I don't do Halloween decorations. I've got all the decorations sorted, same as last year, so will be put up sometime in December. If it wasn't for our son I probably wouldn't bother with decorations.

We are not putting up Christmas decorations this year as we are away. Although in one of our front gardens we have a very large Christmas tree so I do usually decorate that.

I don't know if I will. Last year I didn't. I really like to put decorations up but my now ex partner who I'm still living with isn't interested in Christmas like everything else. So puts me off.

We put them up anytime from the beginning of December , depending on what time we have to do it. They come down gradually from the day after boxing day and are all down by the day after New years day. So up predominately for a month

Probably sometime in the first week of December, there’s a house near me that has its Christmas lights up for like 6 months a year
