Decking newbie checking in!

Is most decking usually solid wood? I'm guessing composite might be cheaper? Does it tend to have better qualities as well? In my mind a hybrid of woods might be stronger/more durable than a single wood?

Not that it helps, but I like the one on the right 😁

Hi im decking newbie also, how ever i am doing a lot of research into it. Solid wood does not last longer and is not non slip mould proof which leads to it needing to be replaced after a time.

Composite decking is made of of recycle materials mainly plastics and what usually comes from our landfills. It is non slip mould proof and gaurenteed between 10 25 years low maintenance ie mopping. Depending on the supplier you use.im in awe with the composite feel it is by far more expensive on initial purchase but in the long run it is an investment worth having specially if you plan on having a landcaped garden with out buildings ie shed summer house.

Thank you for your in put the one on the right is in my too choices as well🤗
