Does the Tooth Fairy Give More on the 1st Tooth?

Ask a Question

When your kids loses their first ever tooth, does the tooth fairy give more because it's the first one? A friend told me they gave £20 for the first one!

Its completely up to you mine get £2 a tooth. I end up panicking if they fall out too quickly as I rarely have cash these days.

The next generation might end up getting money via bank transfer Image

Mine get more for the first tooth then less for the rest but it's really up to you. It's a nightmare nowadays when they lose one tho & you've got no change!

Wow , £20 per tooth, i would watch out for cotton twine attached to door handles and kids with more teeth missing than normal Image

SamGoodship Some kids would probably take advantage S and want it per tooth 😄

£20 for a first tooth?! When you are that young a 50p coin would seem amazing. That is what I used to get. As for my own kids, my eldest would make me write a really small note (for the fairy to read... i mean really small) that would ask for the tooth to be left with him. He has kept them all.

Not in my house it doesn't. In other houses it's a fiver. Ridiculous to give them more.

Jerseydrew Everyone has their own budget I guess. Whats a lot of money to say, me, it's not a loft of money to a millionaire.

He hasn't lost any yet but when he does it will be £2 for a first tooth and then a pound for each tooth after that. I'm sorry but £20 for a first tooth is just ridiculous.

Never heard of that tbh but i guess since it’s a made up thing there is no set rules. £20 for a tooth, now I know inflation and stuff comes into play but I’m sure i never got anywhere near that for one of my gnashers

My oldest did get £1 per tooth now it's £2 because there's not much you can get for a pound

£20 is to much I think even for a first tooth, £3 would be generous, £2 more standard.

Personally I don't see what's wrong with £1 for a first tooth!

I have n heard of that one, can not remember what the tooth fairy left for me, probably 5 or 10p. My children used to receive 50p I think.
