Expensive round Even for London!

In the News

So a lady in a 5 star hotel in London ordered a cocktail .Ordinary till now but then at the bill OUCH . She had misread the price instead of it being £18.90 the actual bill was £1,890.

Have you ever had a more costlier round or made a mistake in the price of something ?

If you`re visiting or staying In a 5 star hotel. Expect to pay them sort of prices. I do know a glass of Champagne at The Shard In London Is £25, yet alone £1,890 for a cocktail. Fancy places with fancy prices. Not for me. Always double check the menu. Should of definitely gone to Specsavers.

Jerseydrew Quite close . Unicorn farts with gold dust sprinkled over with a touch of salt/vinegar.

I suppose if she’s in the hotel in the first place she must be reasonably well off so the bill wouldn’t have been as damaging to her at least

jms19 or for her to read the price tag properly. Hotels that's charge these prices normally have a reputation and known for being expensive as they are aimed at those that can afford luxury/rich/afford to be ripped off whatever label you want to give it
