What is Your Favourite Walt Disney Film?

Ask a Question

How many films did he make I've always wondered.....my favourite I think has to be Bambi, which I've watched when I was a child and now with my grandkids.....

My favourite Disney film is the original Mary Poppins. Also had the video, loved sitting with the kids and singing along.

Mary poppins reminds me of rainy winter Saturday's with the children when you had to borrow the video from a lending store. There was anticipation then, nowadays you just stream in seconds!

There’s just too many Disney films 🍿 now! Lost count how many there are lol 😆

Not sure I have a favourite one to be honest and I have not watched them again at all

Only watched them as a kid

That’s a really tough question, there’s so many to choose. Probably The Lion King but I’ve always thought Robin Hood was massively underrated.

My favourite animated Disney film is Tangled. For live action I'll go with Tron (1982).

I think Walt Disney was the producer on disney films up until about 1965 so anything before then he had some sort of hand in.

Looking at the list of films from that time frame i’d have to say Jungle Book is my favourite.

Of the second golden generation of disney films i think Lion king is my favourite followed by Aladdin.

One of my all time favourite films is The Parent Trap (1961 film) despite being born many years later.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment....here's a few facts about Disney....he produced 493 films with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and it was the 1st ever animated film ever produced....and on 25th January 2017 he produced his last ever film titled Follow me Boys......would rather spend a weekend with the grandkids watching Disney above any other producer.....have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend folks.....

Without a doubt it’s got to be The LionKing. Both the original and the newer updated version never fail to make me smile. Absolutely amazing

chele44 the remake of The Lion King brought in £1.6 billion at the box offices around the world.....amazing!!! I love Elton John's voice and music, so when I heard that he would be the main voice in Lion King, that just made my day, it made a lovely film into a fantastic classic....thanks for your comment!!

Bonnylass3 it is without a doubt an amazing film and my all time favourite of Disney movies. I went to Disneyland Paris bout 6 yrs ago with my daughters and oldest 3 grandchildren and it was amazing. My youngest granddaughter is going next summer as part of her 7th birthday celebration and family holiday and wish I was going back again (apart from the queues)

chele44 wow what a lucky young lady, 7yrs is the perfect age to go to Disneyland.....I've always wanted to go and it's on my bucket list, and as I'm aged 70yrs in November I reckon I've still got a few years left in me to go and enjoy it....thanks for replying, enjoy the Bank Holidays weekend.....

chele44 I know what you mean by "original," but the true original was Kimba the White Lion.

I never bothered with the live remakes as they just look so tedious and lifeless. I hate what they did to my poor Pinocchio.

Oh now that's such a hard question, I think diney movies are timeless though I do like the little mermaid. I like how Disney movies are for kids but have meanings the older people get too

Difficult question. Really like The Lion King and Little Mermaid remember these when I was little. Mary Poppins is really good too reminds me of Christmas as it was always on TV at this time. But I love Who framed Roger Rabbit it's really funny and I really find Jessica Rabbit sexy!

KAW18 The Japanese version of The Little Mermaid by Toei Animation is absolutely phenomenal, but it doesn't have a happy ending like Disney's version does.

The Swan Lake also by Toei Animation is wonderful, yet sad.
