Ok you can get some stuff from the chemist or supermarket you put it on for half hour and wash out then use a nit comb or use loads of conditioner and keep brushing it out with a nit comb but that will have to be done for a few days

Leannexxx I've used a few over the years (joys of the job). Just wondered what ways people have that maybe different to the ones I use.

Leannexxx snap. I want to shave my hair off just to be rid. They are horrible. Made worse by certain parents that don't bother getting rid of them 🤢

I used this when I had them once with a comb supplied and it worked. Followed by using lots of conditioner. I only ever had them once. It says £5.50 in Asda.

Tea tree and rosemary essential oil, mixed 10 drop oil to 100 ml of water and spray on to hair. Tie up if long hair and in morning comb out the little blighters. Some people use vinegar but that's a bit smelly.

Not sure how true it is but l was always told nits like clean hair and cannot cling on if your hair is a tad dirty/greasy...maybe an old wives tale, who wants dirty/greasy hair anyway...

My eldest granddaughter started school and the nit problem started..I use tea tree shampoo and conditioner..and spritz after washing with tea tree essential oil..then when your hair is dry and tied up when ready to go..give your hair a fine spray of hair spray..works a treat for us girls here.good luck..they are such a pain for little creatures..oh and don't forget to wash your bedding at the same time x

Conditioner conditioner conditioner, worked every time when my kids had them, there was a girl in my daughters class who constantly had them and spread them around, we had to deal with alot , conditioner was the only thing that worked, put plenty of conditioner and comb through the hair with the conditioner still on , it makes the comb slide through the hair alot easier and gets the nits out

Probably best to chuck on a chemical treatment for now, then going forward conditioner and nitty gritty comb once a week. Also wear tea tree oil when your likely to be exposed to nits.
