Too Good to Go
Ask a Question
Does anyone use the app Too Good To Go?
My friend recommended it to me and I have downloaded it.
You can get very cheap meals from close by restaurants that would otherwise chuck the food away.
You can get huge carvery meals for only a couple of pounds!
It will probably come in handy for a few people.
I've had it for a while but yet to find anything exciting on it so haven't used it - it's the same ones every day; hotels that do breakfast bags and Costa.
I've seen some amazing examples from others but there are only a couple of options in my area. (sushi or bread) I've seen some awful food packs too! If you are going to try it then look out for recommendations because there are some shops clearly getting rid of poor quality items.
I tried it once and it was not too good experience. I want to get an other go with Morrison's box....and also saw the local bakery does it too and maybe I will give it a go....
I tried it but there's absolutely nothing anywhere near me, and I'm not far from some big cities.
Iv heard bad experiences near me - stale food that no one else wanted. But you do seem to get a lot for money and I have heard really good reviews too.
I am surprised to hear of the bad experiences! I guess it depends on the reliability etc. of places close by. There are a lot of carvery ones close to me and my friend had a really good experience filling up a huge box with plenty of meat and veg and more!
The bakery was very nice today. Great experience too... Walked in and they had the bag ready... Got bread, pastries, sweet tarts and a big sandwich... I was very happy... Would cost more than £10 if I have to pay for everything.
I used this again today on a bakery in the city where I work, it’s a bagel place but they’d ran out of bagels by the time I got there so it was just cakes. was okay for £3.59 I did get four different cakes but I was hoping for a nice big bagel for my dinner my husband was not that impressed as he’s not a big chocolate eater and they were all variations of chocolate cake. I will give the app another go though and try some other places.
I've heard mixed reviews but seen some good photos and it seems like especially with the Morrison's boxes you get a lot - haven't tried it myself yet
I just installed and it's 7:36pm, so I'll order something tomorrow as it's mostly sold out.
Leannexxx Says sold out for my location and that I'll need to check again tomorrow at 9pm.
I do wish I could reserve it.
It’s pretty good, depending upon location. Places with a lot of tourists or cities tend to have good reductions late in the afternoon
My locals as l no longer drive are Aldi, Gregg's & Coop..Gregg's use to be great but has gone down hill recently, whereas Aldi and Coop have been amazing from joints of meat, veg, bread, pastries and salads
A waste of time and effort..either to far away or collect at a certain time..when you need to be home with family doing other stuff.a cheap way of advertisement
Yes I have used it but it can be abit hit and miss some bags are great others not so much, the Greggs backs are usually very good
I have heard of it and I know a couple of people who use it. Maybe I will take a look later but it only makes sense if I’m actually out as I live in rural area.
We get them, and they can be good the other Saturday. I got one it was very good. Iit had just under £20.00 pounds of stuff in it, cost me £3.50 but yesterday I got one it was rubbish it was worth around £2.00 cost £3.50
Never heard of it , I will have a look and see what it's about , we don't eat out much now, can't afford it
I haven't used this yet but some food will no doubt be on its last legs and I would be concerned about how long some fresh food has been out in the open before they decide to package it to go...
Picked up what I ordered and really good food items that would perhaps be thrown awat.
This is one way of getting food cheaper, but yeah you can't choose what's included.
