How Often Do You Wash Your Hands
Ask a Question
Hello everyonee,
Just for curiousty how often do you guys wash your hands and how cautious are you when touching surfaces?
We wash our hands all the time and always have done. As soon as we enter the house we take off our shoes and wash our hands. Obviously after using the lav, & in the bath or shower. Before/during/after preparing foods (as you touch many different foods). Touching the bin, every time we use the wheelie bins, after gardening. After putting the shopping away & wipe down all surfaces etc... We use a lot of soap...
tumblespots this is a great animation wow! Same here Im exactly the same love washing my hands when it feels clean. Good idea to use soap as it would be more cost-effective.
I am still washing my hands and have never cut down and I have really touched surfaces when I was out as I have a low immune system so was always careful before. I never shake hands with people but then again never did.
eyeballkerry Fair enough good point made here although shaking hands does not always work
I don’t wash mine for quite as long as I did in the first lockdown but still wash them about as often. I’m not overly worried about touching surfaces as the science seems to have moved the emphasis to airborne covid transmission.
I still stick to Covid-19 rules of regular handwashing of 20 seconds or using hand gel/sanitiser. Also I tend to have a clean tissue paper to open the women's toilet door on exit.
I wash my hands all the time! As soon as I get indoors, before preparing or eating food, after touching any surface indoors or outdoors
brendablue oh no, do you have to use any hand moisturiser because of the dry out of washing your hands too often. Thanks for your comment
brendablue I've always washed my hands about 25 per day, sometimes even more and my brother said it was OCD, but I've never actually seen it that way as I've always done that.
They are very dry and yes i do most nights put moisturiser on and its a waste during the day as i wash them so much
brendablue I was thinking the same, because it feels horrible to wash hands with moisturised hands horrible
I couldn't give you an exact number. I wash them when I've been to the bathroom, before and after touching food, after touching the bins outside. I use hand sanitizer when I'm out and after I have changed my sons nappy. I definitely do it more now than I did before covid.
Even though covid is not spreading as it was, we still all need to wash our hands. I get so annoyed seeing people leave public toilets and they haven’t washed. It is basic hygiene.
I wash my hands so often they are now chapped and my skin is dry. Hard water areas are the worst.
A lot. I work in cafe and wash every time I get a chance. Out and about I really try not to touch surfaces, I’ll use a tissue or antibacterial/virus wipes then wash thoroughly where I know it’s a clean basin and taps.
