Old Argos Catalogs from 1973 to 1999

Love that they preserved so many of them so if folks want to check it out for nostalgia, they can!
Miss those times.
Thats amazing P, just look at the prices from all those years ago, nearly as expensive as now , so they cost an absolute fortune when they first came out
Just dont post any food prices from then, we will have a heart attack seeing how much they have gone up
If you like all that - watch Bullesye on Challenge its retrotastic BMX's, decanters, fringed garden furniture and hostess trolleys - I love it!
emmabeckz don't forget the Corby trouser press, there is always a trouser press classic
emmabeckz omg yes the teasmaid, love bullseye, the old ones are the best we have them on at work all the time
slightfoot Jim is so funny and politically incorrect now - silver goblet for the ladies. Oh you’ve won the kitchen for your wife she’ll be pleased…
emmabeckz ...Or the Speedboat for outside your place in some landlocked town or city!!!
As Jim would say: You couldn't make it up!!
Oh wow amazing. I loved the Argos catalogue. Use to look at it as a child and wished I could get some toys but my parents couldn't afford them.
Pjran oh yes me too, we were allowed to pick anything we wanted up to £10, for my nan and grandad to buy us for Christmas, they lived far away, and it was before internet, so all 4 of us kids wud line up to take it in turns to give nan the page number and product code of what we wanted over the phone, she would be sat with a book at her end, circling the right bits, we would be given the book 1week before hand to decide what we wanted, then we had to be quick on the phone because we were in the in the box, I'm the youngest so I was always last and would start panicking that the others were taking too long and the money would run out before I got my go, but it never did luckly for me
I used to get two Argos catalogues, one each for my children. They used to circle which item they would like for Christmas. The only problem was they liked quite a few things. As for Bullseye they had some ridiculous prizes and when Jim Bowen said 'Let's have a look at what you could have won.' we always used to laugh.
This is amazing, i used to spend hours looking through the argos catalog as a kid. A real trip down memory lane!
Oh I love this, what a blast from the past. You've got me all nostalgic now. I want to go in and circle all the things I want.
