Passenger Horrified after Spotting Mice in British Airways Business Lounge

In the News

Forget 'snakes on a plane' , they should bring out a new movie, 'mice in the executive lounge'

When you pay for the use of the business class lounge at the airport you expect first class treatment and luxury while you are there relaxing and waiting for your departure

What you dont expect is freeloader mice scurrying around your feet scavenging for food

This is what happened at Heathrow in the British Airways business lounge

What surprised me most was when someone complained to a British Airways executive, the agent said they 'adhere to the highest standards and it's normal for mice to reach some areas' ???

That's alright then , no problem

You just have to be prepared to share your executive experience with rodents

I like likkle mice, especially field ones as long as they're not hanging out in gangs and commandeering all the cheddar. Collective noun for mice is a Mischief of mice..kinda appropriate sometimes eh? Image

As long as they paid to be there, I don't see the problem.

Its not a surprise. Mice and rats are everywhere. We need to remember we took over their habitat. It's not nice I agree but we need to accept it as part of life. There's food in the ba lounge it'll attract mice. At least it wasn't one of tge kids throwing them jntk the lounge just for the fun like at my school

Jerseydrew Its true J, they are everywhere, but it is a worry when they are close to kitchens and where they prepare food. Surely a big business like British Airways can keep them out of the lounge area, imagine if we all gave up and allowed mice in our homes , pets being the exception mind 😉

Jerseydrew I suppose one consolation is they weren't rats J, they cause more damage and disease than mice , maybe they should introduce one or two cats into the lounge area , they could be on the payroll 😀

I can understand why they wouldn’t be happy as it is an upcharge area and if you are paying for it you wouldn’t expect there to be rodents about. However I’d probably just ask for a refund and leave it at that, there’s bigger problems in the world

They upgraded from Amsterdam

A mouse lived in a windmill in old Amsterdam

A windmill with a mouse in and he wasn't grousin'

He sang every morning, "How lucky I am

Living in a windmill in old Amsterdam!"… 😀

Sugarbabe I saw a mouse!

(Where?)

There on the stair!

On his way to the bar

Right there!

A little mouse with clogs on

Anything to declare ?

Going clip-clippety-clop , all would stare

Oh yeah!

I would be terrified, yesterday our little black cat had left me a present when I got back from work/ Mass..

Luckily my partner came home at same time & removed it,then he had to go & clean our wall down with hot water & disinfectant as there was bits of mousie!
