Pink Sky

In the News

Residents in Kent woke up to a lovely pink sky yesterday. Not quite the end of the world but artificial light coming from a massive greenhouse growing 400 million tomatoes. I love an orange sunset as much as most but this one a little different eh? Image

Wow, that looks incredible, I wish I didn't know it was due to tomatoes though. The aurora borealis seems far more romantic. That reminds me of a baby I once registered who was named Aurora Borealis Skye!

Lynibis ,

What a beautiful unique name!

my partner's Manager who used to work with me at one service before he was Manager, has twin girls named Aurora & Penelope. Our daughter nicknamed them Aurora & Borealis so that's what I call them, their Daddy finds it funny!! X

Wow that's beautiful. How amazing. Where I used to work we had the most beautiful sunsets thus time of year. One of my kids has changed schools and at 9 appreciates the sunsets from our old school. We were at afterschool club

Lynbis,my Mum passed away Oct 29th 2009 & when we went to register her death in Sheffield the Registrar was telling my 2 sisters, late nephew & I about the funny names people call their children..

There were a few howlers, one couple named their twin daughters TIA & MARIA !!

The Registrar then told us about the Builder who named his children SLATE & ROOF,my sister younger sister shouted out,I'm called RUTH & our Dad was a Builder!!

We laughed, she's called after her Nanan, nothing else!!

Do tell us more funny or unusual names people expected you to register please Lynbis,it would BRIGHTEN a rather dull morning..xx

Oh gosh those poor kids. Well I had a colleague who registered twin girls as Dolce and Gabbana, but I suppose named after a perfume is better than if they had been Dolce Gusto after the coffee brand.

I was once asked to register a baby as Lucifer Damien Maelstrom. The parents were very young and didn't know what Lucifer meant, they changed their minds when I told them and just had the Damien, which is a nice name and only has bad press because of the Omen films.

Another colleague had Beetlejuice as a middle name but went ahead and did it. I think some of these parents have low mental acumen!
