There are thousands upon thousands of talented people in the world and she is one of them so i am not detracting from her talent. But, i have read so much over the years about her rudeness and private life and how also, like loads of female celebrities, used sex to get where she is. I remember feeling the need to protect my small kids from her shenanigans and explicit books and photos etc. But once she had kids herself she appeared to tone it down a bit, until they were grown then she started up again.
Are you a fan, I'm not and never will be.
You and I both.I never quite got it either.She has a talent it's true but there are an awful lot of unsung hero/es out there who don't get nearly half the publicity they deserve.
MelissaLee1 I must admit I was brought up very strictly and her antics in the past were beyond the pale to an innocent like me. I was quite shocked by her behaviour. Not just her but all the celebs we seem to idolise for their boozing, drug taking, even crimes.
I do like her music and she was a brilliant dancer when young. But I agree I never liked her rudeness and attitude she had. Most music is about sex but she went way over top by being controversial and I didn’t like some of that. But I will always be a fan of the dance music.
I saw her on TV recently, wow she looks a proper mess now, Botox face, nothing sexy about her now

Lynibis it's because they are afraid of death, they try to look younger but end up looking like a ugly cartoon character

Can’t say I’m a fan either, there’s a few songs of hers that i like but yeah the constant attention grabbing antics can get a little much. Still there’s a lot worse famous people about.
Well we will have to agree to disagree - I absolutley love her and wish I could have gone to the concerts this weekend. She is fabulous takes no nonsense and not all her songs are about s*x She does a lot for charity with Aids and in Africa and Malawi too. She nearly died not so long ago as well so I hope I can make it to her next tour and be half as good a her at 65
emmabeckz Absolutely, wouldn't do for us all to like the same celebs, or anything come to that.
I think you are probably lots younger than me and M and I are of roughly same generation and back in the day the controversy surrounding her was not as acceptable as it is today.
There are a lot of her songs that I like too and have even sung a couple on Karaoke, probably make your ears bleed lol.
I don't understand all the fuss. She's made some good songs over the years but so have lots of artists.
We have a 'Brennan' in our lounge, you save all your cd's into it and it plays them back. Even when it is on random it always seems to play Madonna when I come into the room and it drives me mad as, although I know the words to almost all her songs, there is only one that I quite like (Don't tell me). Still, it makes Mr T chuckle

Sadly I have seen that picture of her in one of the posts above otherwise I wouldn't have known it was her and the same goes for most people who have had cosmetic surgery. What makes me angry is when they go on chat shows and the host says something stupid like 'don't you look wonderful' when all of us at home are wondering who it is!

I have never heard of 'Brennan', I must look into it as I have dozens of CDs that I was looking to get rid of.
Lynibis We still have our cd's because if anything went wrong with it we would have to load them into a new machine!
A brennan, and there are many other makes on the market, remembers all the cd's you load into it (when you ask it to) and you can play them back either in order or randomly. You can also make playlists, we made a few eg, chillout, Christmas, absolute favourites etc. We wish it had a few more features but it has served us well for more than 10 years already.

The only Brennan i had heard of is Max Brennan from Bones, but i never really watched it 
telmel It is a great machine, we wouldn't be without it, in fact we have one in the lounge and another in the bedroom! I've watched a few episodes of Bones but can't recall Max Brennan?

I love Madonna, I have most of
her albums. I think in the music industry, you have to have thick skin and not take any nonsense. If anything she has paved the way for many artists and her music has stayed relevant, she has an amazing gift.
I have never been a fan of Madonna, I just don't see the hype around her. She has had a lot of work done and doesn't look right anymore.
