Red Wine How Do I Remove It from My Best Top?

Just noticed a large red wine stain on my.best top I was going to wear any ideas how to remove it 
I've just started using Vanish that works really well not sure how effective it is on wine but might be worth a try.
KAW18 thank you so much I have some vanish in but just had a .look at it was carpet cleaner 
so.I pop.out and get some stain remover many thanks your a star
rowley1943 That's ok. Fingers crossed it works! Maybe wash it by hand with hot water and put some Vanish directly on the stain. Then wash again in washing machine and put more Vanish in the drawer. Good luck
I would try Vanish and use cold water only (warm/hot water is good for removing grease but can cause this type of stain to set further into the fabric and be more difficult to remove) 
Try white wine..pour some on the stain and leave to do it's work..while your waiting drink the rest..I am a red wine drinker and have had many a night with the stains.
