Sadly Shane McGowan died yesterday. Love the Pogues. Brilliant band. Very sad. Not surprised given how he abused his body and had been sick. But still sad.
It is a sad moment but that song will live on forever. Both him & Kirsty Maccoll are no longer with us so that gives the song a sad twist

listened to & loved The Dubliners,Sinéad O'Connor,The Pogues & other Irish Artists growing up in Sheffield..Such sad news about Shane,so soon after his close friend Sinéad who ironically saved Shane's life years ago.

If that happened I would love to see & hear Kirsty McColl & Shane McGowan's interview, unfortunately both these legends have passed away so sadly that will never happen now!
