Traditional Wives
Ask a Question
I read something before about a woman raising her daughter up as a traditional wife I think it very outdated I've always been told don't rely on anyone what's your thoughts on this?
I guess everyone has a different view on this. It is good to be self sufficient but if a lady (or man) is happy doing more of the home stuff and it works in their relationship then that's great. I've got a few friends who could be considered "traditional wives" and they say they're way happier than if they worked a full time job.
I don't think any child should be brought up to conform to what their parents are/want, but if they choose that path later in life fine, free choice. Parents should prepare their children for life lessons whatever their gender i.e. Cooking, cleaning, changing a tyre, etc.
I wouldn't do this but each to their own I think. 'Traditional' roles work in many modern relationships. You would expect your partner to treat you like an equal and respect you regardless
Not much chance of doing that to my girls lol , I'm a joiner and teach them as much as possible, they enjoy it
martinlufc5637 that's good to do that my dad was the same with me I do more DIY than my other half he's terrible lol
The duggers did that with their girls. To be honest that was a right fail whale for the whole family
How would this work for those in a same sex relationships?
Everyone should be taught the same life skills, learn to make decisions and to learn a good work ethic, whatever path they choose will be up to them.
The main thing we need to teach everyone is to be positive and to be kind.
Sex/Gender shouldn't play a huge part in what we teach people in my opinion.
If you are saying a traditional wife, is a wife that stays at home and brings up the children while the husband goes out to work, well that was me. It worked well for us.
eyeballkerry I'm doing that now but I'm going back to work when my youngest starts full time school these wife's what I'm talking about never go to work have to ask the man for everything if he says no that's it have to get all dressed up to impress him daily that's definitely not me
