Have the Train Strikes Gone on Too Long?
Ask a Question
I love brighton and the easiest route for me is by train. When they bother running. It's not fair.
I always travel by coach (to London only) and it is dirt cheap to travel if you book in advance. The trade unions members control the trains and they are a law unto themselves and knows it.
I suppose they have but at the same time if the workers aren’t happy with what they’ve been offered it’s their right to strike for as long as they deem necessary
Like the majority nowadays I don't use trains and they aren't part of my life, the prices are ridiculous. If there is an offer I might use them but seems like 4 or 5 years ago now that happened. I'm sure many have now stopped using trains and worked out other ways to get to work or travel which sadly might mean running a car or other vehicle. I tend to look at coaches for travel if I don't want to drive. Cheaper and more reliable. For some of the minor routes which are low volume and ran at a loss I think they should be turned into cycle paths to give a safer environment for cyclists to travel and reduce tax payers subsidies.
