Do You Use Too Good to Go?
Ask a Question
I'm absolutely sick to the back teeth of using the app tbh, it's really gone downhill.
With the recent rubbish bags we've had from Starbucks and Costa and Aldi giving us 20 pints of skimmed milk once, and 32 muffins another time, I'd had enough. But we decided to give Greggs a go and we've had 6 bags cancelled in the last week.
I don't think that the app is fit for purpose and I will be uninstalling.
I would love to hear about your experiences with it.
I’ve got it but I never have used it. Don’t know why I have it really. I’ve seen other’s posts that are really good but I think depends what is in your area.
JLouM We have Costa and Starbucks who give you hardly anything, but it meets the RRP on the app because the full price is used instead of the reduced price, which is not on imo as all the food is going out of date.
Aldi has gone pretty bad with mainly manky salad bags and bakery items.
Greggs used to be good, but they just cancel now.
TheChimp Yes always wondered on the condition. Says it’s still good but must be on the way out. I do buy yellow sticker items if I’m going to eat same day or is suitable to freeze but don’t buy anything looking like it’s going off. I pick myself in supermarket though. The coffee shops just want to get rid really and it’s a way for them to profit.
I uninstalled the app ages ago. There wasn't that many places in our area on it anyway and the ones on it were places we wouldn't use. I buy yellow sticker stuff all the time but the tgtg bags we got were full of stuff we wouldn't use.
There's only 2 places I my town that do it but they're actually really good the town bakery has a bag for £5 you definitely get double if not triple the worth howecer in another town ive had really bad bags that are barely worth it, it really depends where you're located to how good it is or how many places do it.
We’ve had a few Pound Bakery was the best we had loads but then Costa we had some weird vegan toastie and a beef toastie that looked a bit grim felt robbed but as you say it goes if their full rrps so hit and miss.
Hi TheChimp ive had a great one from Aldi with a joint of pork, bread, fresh veg & fruit, some pastries and milk and thought it was fantastic value. Gregg's use to be good but the value is as bad as the service from the staff so l won't be ordering one from there again and I've had a Coop grocery which was great value but l found the bakery product one dry, luckily I've never had one with load of milk or muffins only
Yes I have it and I do use it, but generally only from places where I know I like and will use everything they do, ie the Greggs bags are usually very good and I like 99% of there menu, I also have a local takeaway chicken shop on mine and I know I like all their menu, but I don't bother with Aldi and Morrisons as a chance it cud be all things I don't like
No I haven't used this ap, probably because i'm a little bit fussy/picky with my food and maybe wouldn't eat most of what I got.
Have used it a fair few times but i agree it can be hit and miss. Had some poor stuff from morrisons but then on the up side I’m down cornwall and went to get a pasty. Was supposed to be £3.50 each but checked the app and got 3 for £5.
I used to use it, but not anymore is gone down the pan my local Couplands I got 1 bread roll it was very hard and 2 ginger bread men cost 3.50
I use it all the time.Yer pays yer money and takes yer chances as it were and yes I have had a couple of dicey ones. I once got two stale croissants and a burnt spud! but most of the time it's been great.Costa and Neros always come up trumps. The Krispy Kremes are still dear at a fiver but they are just soooo nice.
