Vinted or Depop?
Ask a Question
Every now and then I have a clear out and get rid of old clothes/toys/books etc, not going to make lifechanging amounts but mostly need the space. I've used vinted for ages but I've read depop have changed to a similar structure where fees are now paid by the buyer not the seller.
Do you use these platforms? Do you have a preference on which is better? May try my luck on depop if it seems its better
Vinted.
I mainly sell games on there and buy them too (usually to resell). I've bought some clothes and teddy bears to give as a gift (each were £1 but after fees it was about £3.80~£4).
Unlike eBay, on Vinted sellers get the value they set whereas eBay takes a cut and sellers get less (it has a bigger audience, for sure, but if it gets sold that's what matters).
Years ago I used Shpock although I gave up due to sellers not being very friendly while on Vinted they (and I) are generally friendly and helpful. A few days ago a lady seller accidentally posted a photo of her private email on a phone being reset, and I messaged her about it so she'd remove that to avoid possible spam or whatever.
Vinted has been good to me.
Vinted for me all the way. I don't buy from there I just sell stuff I no longer want or need. I try and keep my stuff at a couple of quid unless I'm selling a bundle.
ChelsieLou90 I like vinted and I only use that, Im not looking to make crazy money or anything but it does feel like everyone wants something for nothing! Everything on my page is under £5 and a lot of it new with tags (just doesnt suit me or fit right on me) and people will literally offer me a pound!
I have only recently started using Vinted and I am pretty impressed how easy it is compared to eBay. I haven’t tried Depop so will give that a go.
I prefer vinted. Don't use depop at all.
Iv just sold a number of items on vinted & most have went fairly quickly. I usually price my items slightly higher than I want for them so there's leeway for offers. Any ridulous offers just get ignored.
Never sold but I use vinted when looking for things, I like the layout structure and community much better and have had more positive interactions there
