Wally the Emotional Support 'Alligator' Denied Entry into a Baseball Stadium

In the News

This could only happen in the USA

People normally have a dog or other domestic pet as a support animal and most are allowed into retaurants or bars etc

But this man wanted to take his support 'alligator' to a baseball game with him , but was denied entry

Imagine if you were sitting in the next seat to him, i doubt if you would be able to concentrate on the game with 'Wally' at your feet

Especially if he fancied a 'bite' to eat , the owner might be munching on a hotdog but wally might fancy a cold foot , possibly yours

I know i would be 'hotfooting' out of there in this case , probably shouting 'See you later alligator' on the way out

Makes me think of that recent news story where crocodiles helped a dog that was being chased by a feral pack of dogs in India instead of eating it when it entered the water. I'd always assumed they were instinctive hunters like Snakes and not much intelligence but seems like there is more going on than you realise. I think we often make animals seem worse than they are to justify our cruelty to them. Dogs kill thousands of people per year but they are much more attractive. Don't get me wrong I love dogs but I do think we have bias in favour of them because of how they look and bias against other animals that are less attractive.

BonzoBanana It's the same with creatures like lizards , spiders, mice and other less common pets B

If they are not cuddly then people don't want them or have an inbuilt fear of them because they are different

The same applies with people, there is bias amongst humans if they don't conform to the 'norm' unfortunately

Also that was interesting in the news article about marigolds

Crocodiles are often seen floating or laying in marigolds, often keeping “physical contact” with the yellow flowers, which the researchers note have compounds that can protect skin from fungi and bacteria
