Whats the Best Meal You Have Had Which Costs within £5-£10?

Ask a Question

I just had a Tesco meal deal of a southern fried chicken 🍗 pasta 🍝 with a packet of McCoy’s Thai sweet chicken flavour crisps and a Ribena blackcurrant drink 🍹 at £3.40 with Clubcard but I had a £3 gift card and just paid 40p for it all!!

I get £3.50 meal deal from co-op as member. Sandwich, snack and drink. I also get offers on the app each week and 2p cashback on all my purchases. I think good value.

Oh I love a good deal, that sounds decent to me! Can't beat a full 40p lunch that you didn't have to make or cook.

I used to love a treat of passing a Morrisons, when we didn't have any near by to get a Chicken Cesar salad wrap, Falafel with humous and a Sparkling raspberry Ribena or Apple Juice 😋 Think they were or are around £3.50

The best priced meal deal I think personally (not that I ever get them) is Asda, as you can just buy 3 sets of main lunches. It is ANY 3 items rather than a main (sandwich, pasta, wrap etc.) snack and drink.

So just get 3 mains, a multipack of crisps if you want crisps and a big bottle of drink or a multi pack of drinks, works out SO much cheaper. Obviously buying the ingredients and preparing something yourself would be better and often cheaper, but for ease and a treat (if you find it a treat 😆) you can't go wrong.

Sorry talking meal deals here, not meals 😂

DeBunny agree that Asda meal deal offer/food to go is elite! Can’t beat it when you can get three mains for the price of two!

DeBunny I shop at Asda (two different branches in different areas) 3-4 times per week and wasn't aware of the priced meal deals. I will give it a go when I go there this coming Saturday. Thanks for the tip.

Greggs prices

However a Greggs Outlet opened 5 min up road from me & I pass it on my walk to work so buy from there.

Greggs Outlets have all the surplus food that's made & sell it off for cheaper price, there's NO sell by dates, cos they just sell it off cheaper same day!

I can pick a Hot Sandwich up for £1.50 & sometimes it's 2 for £1.50

Cold Baguettes are £1.20

Flat Breads are £1.20

Pack of 4 Sausage Rolls £.1.70

Never eaten soon many Greggs Sandwiches since Greggs Outlet opened!!

kitty88uk ,Yes use up quickly or freeze ready for another time,it makes sense to save,I do the same BUT I leave something for others,I don't buy everything up cheap like I have seen some people do...

Years ago in Tesco at the more affluent part of Sheffield my friend & I watched 2 well to do women buy all but 2 punnets of Strawberries for 50p each, they were very smug about it too. My friend bought a punnet & said here get this punnet before the greedy gets take every punnet so I did,the look the women gave us...Priceless!

It happens! Once at M&S a few years back so many people at a trolley full of reduced foods

It was crazy people snatching foods I managed to get some fruits and sandwiches 🥪 at a bargain price

Nowadays don’t see much foods reduced happens at a certain time and there’s more people buying reduced foods
