Woman Spends £61,000 Stocking Bunker Ready for World War 3, Would You ?

Ask a Question

So this young woman in the USA has built herself an underground bunker in preparation for WW3 and stocked it with £61,000 worth of food and supplies , and of course the obligatory arms and weapons that americans love to own

She says she is worried about so many wars going on around the world that could erupt into the final one

The food she has bought won't expire for at least 25 years as she keeps rotating it and consuming the food that will expire

If she is right i wonder what she expects to emerge to when finally leaving the bunker

The only people left would be like minded bunkerites like her , the rich and politicians and world leaders of course

Would do build a bunker if you had the funds ?

What do you think of this?+20 points

She would more likely come out to a world of violent gangs who didn't share her foresight, would try to steal her stash, no gas, no electricity or fresh running water, devastation and wreckage everywhere. Think I would sooner not be here so no, wouldn't bother building a bunker.

@LynibisYes L, she probably thinks after 12 months or so stuck in her bunker she would emerge and life would be back to normal, and it would be a trip to the supermarket and later settling down to watch Oprah on tv 🥴

martinlufc5637 I suppose they expect violence M , hence the stack of weapons, by the time they have shot each other they will have wasted their money on the bunkers

telmel It would be a nuclear war, so probably nobody would be alive anyway, so guns would be useless

This is typical of some Americans. They are gun crazy to start with and after coming out of the bunker it will be like the Purge movie. Not worth spending all that money and should live for today.

Would we get enough warning to get our family down there? If I wasn't with all my family wouldn't want to be there myself.

Is she planning never to go on holiday again because it could happen when away.

It only takes one leader to press the button

Imnotcheap These are all questions we would never know until the time I

Lets hope world leaders in ALL countries see sense and never press it

But the irony is if someone did, humanity would no longer be around to destroy the planet further as they are doing now and the Earth would thrive back to life eventually

What's the point though really? Yes you'd be safe but how lonely and boring just being in your bunker and eventually you'd run out of food and supplies. I think cest la vie and all that, what will be will be and just have to enjoy life and make the most of it

I would love to build a bunker and have it as my ‘ go to place’. It wouldn’t have to do with a war just somewhere to chill and stocked with my favourite goodies.

eyeballkerry Thats a better idea E, but i wonder if you would get permission off the council, i believe you need that for even a tree house now in some cases ?

You could extend your life beyond the initial nuclear war but ultimately once supplies run out you are dead. I just can't see how you could come out and live on the surface as radiation would still be too high surely and the weather system would be a mess, likely extreme cold due to thick cloud cover.

However it does feel like we are in very dangerous times and she could be right about a horrific war on the horizon.

BonzoBanana My fear too B .Not long ago people were saying the Cuban missile crisis was the nearest we came to another war, now we have three countries sabre rattling , Russia being the greatest threat, lets hope something can be done to change this situation for the sake of humanity

I definitely wouldn't bother building a bunker. Might as well die along with everyone else. No fun being alone.
