Very nice looking laptop..but not sure about the brand ..I will read the reviews and see what they say..thanks
Such a great price for a laptop and with this spec it's an even better deal.
I haven't heard of this brand before so you would be taking a chance on it
Looking for some basic laptop. Thinking this will solve the purpose. Lovely deal posted by you
I have an older laptop using a Celeron J3455 processor which looks absolutely identical to this physically with the same case, keyboard and trackpad and all the ports in the same place. It must have come out of the same factory. The keyboard and trackpad I would say are usable but on the lower quality end, the display is very good and the sound on mine is very loud and clear for a laptop but the reviews for this one don't look as good. On the Intel site it says the N95 chipset can support up to 16GB depending on memory type which would normally mean only with certain memory it supports 16GB but less for others but perhaps its means here 32GB is doable. Intel also states the chipset only supports single channel memory which means the graphic chip could be starved of memory bandwidth when playing games compared to laptops with dual channel memory. Looks great value but I'm slightly suspicious about the specification. Also states DDR4 memory but the chipset is capable of being matched to DDR5 memory which would make the single channel memory less of an issue but its DDR4 here and single channel. The 'N' series is the new name for Celeron I believe so as you would expect performance is compromised but battery efficiency is superb. The large 15.6" IPS screen will take some power though.
Overall seems a good deal but the 32GB seems overkill for the spec and to be honest it probably would have been a better laptop with 16GB of DDR5 just to speed it up. It's only a Celeron so 32GB seems over the top. The chipset has a 15W TDP but you wonder how it would use 15W when all 4 CPU's are high efficiency cores and the graphics hardware is restricted by memory bandwidth. I suspect this laptop will not draw close to 15W for its CPU unless playing games. Seems a slightly strange configuration overall. My older version of this laptop has a 10W TDP, 256GB drive and is dual channel with 8GB of memory. This N95 laptop is 2-3x faster overall although maybe only 50% faster for games. Most of the benchmarks I've seen show the N95 with DDR5 memory but with DDR4 single channel memory it is slower than my laptop for memory bandwidth which must have a large impact on overall speed. So I think it would be closer to the 2x speed improvement rather than 3x.
As ever debloating the operating system and carefully choosing the right settings will make this laptop punch well above its stock performance. My laptop boots in 6 seconds debloated.
