Remember Coop is split into multiple zones and each has its own loyalty card. I live close to two Coops and both have different schemes and in a nearby town they have a different Coop again. My Coop membership card I think is for the south west Coop and while other Coops will take and scan my card it has absolutely no benefit and is pointless doing so. To use a Coop membership card in all my local Coops would take 3 membership cards. However for someone else right in the middle of one area their membership card may not have such issues.
Here is a list of Southern Coops which my membership card doesn't work in;

I only mention this as its quite easy to apply for the wrong coop membership card that doesn't work in your local stores if you are not careful. I would need 3 membership cards to work in all my local stores but have one that works with about 70% of my local stores.
