About the brand
With over 150 years of wine-making heritage in the Penedès region west of Barcelona, Freixenet is renowned for the quality and consistency of its world- leading Denominación de Origen sparkling wine. Over 200m bottles of Freixenet are manufactured every year for export all over the world.
Freixenet dates back to 1861 and is based in the beautiful region of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, just outside Barcelona, Spain.
In 2017, Freixenet made the bold decision to cross over into the Italian hills and launch a Prosecco. This premium, diamond-glass bottle became an instant star and adds another icon to Freixenet portfolio. In 2020, Freixenet took the step into still wines, producing a range using well known grape varietals from Spain and Italy.
